Cranfield Precision now part of Fives-Lille Group
The recent acquisition of UNOVA Industrial Automation Systems Division (IAS) by Fives-Lille was completed on 13th December. The business sectors represented by IAS will be merged into the automotive division of Fives-Lille within the Cinetic group of companies. Cranfield Precision becomes a Division of Cinetic Landis Grinding Ltd.
The acquisition of IAS will allow Cinetic to develop its presence in the automotive manufacturing sector by leveraging its business interests in markets already firmly established by Landis Lund and by Landis US. Cranfield Precision will continue to operate from the Cranfield University site building special purpose ultra-precision machine tools and providing contract process development over a wide range of machining disciplines.
