Full Capability at New Premises
We are pleased to report that we have completed the move to our new premises and have re-established our capability in the design and construction of special purpose machines.
The first prototype machine system under development at Woburn House is currently grinding ceramic test pieces using a novel arrangement of rotary and linear axes. The programme of work will show that the uniquely configured machining loop can deliver good surface integrity with low sub-surface damage at high material removal rates.
Full details will be released at the euspen meeting in Delft where Cranfield Precision will be participating in the exhibition and commercial session. If you are interested in grinding silicon carbide, Macor, silicon nitride or other ceramic materials to high accuracy and good surface integrity, and you would like a preview of the machine system, then please feel free to contact us using any of the details below.
