Cranfield Precision is a High Precision Machine Tool company. We are a division of Cinetic Landis Ltd and are owned by the Fives Group.

Cranfield Precision's strength lies in its ability to combine the inter-disciplinary skills of mechanical, electronic and software engineering to solve advanced manufacturing problems. Since its formation in 1968 Cranfield Precison has built up expertise in:

• Design of High Stiffness, well damped machine Structures
• Advanced control system design using the latest hardware platforms
• Electronic Gearbox (EGB) techniques to allow synchronisation of multiple axes
• High resolution topographical analysis of large optical workpieces
• Highly precise servo control at nanometer or sub arc second level
• Machining Processes: Diamond Turning, Grinding, Hard Turning, and damage free grinding of brittle materials, eg silicon, BK7 glass
• Finite element analysis of complex non linear solid modelled designs
